10 tips for new SVC students
- Don’t be scared!
- Bring a mini fridge with a freezer for those late night study sessions when you need ice cream and pizza bites.
- Don’t go home for the first month, at least. It’s hard at first, but I promise it will get better.
- Don’t be afraid to talk to new people. Everyone is trying to make friends just like you.
- Go to the shuttle at least 15 minutes before your class because it isn’t always on time everyday.
- Don’t even chance bringing items into your dorm that aren’t allowed, because if you get caught it will only inconvenience you in the end.
- Make sure to always have quick, microwaveable meals in your dorm for the times when you get hungry and the dining hall is closed.
- Avoid signing up for the 8ams if your parents have been waking you up for school for the past 4 years…
- Sit in the front of your class to give your professor a good impression.
- Attend the events on campus, it’s a good way to meet new people with the same interests as you!
