Students brought their creative sides out to paint The Elephant in the Room
On Friday October 9, 2015, Sarah Holland and Kira Guidon from Progressive Palette in Williamstown, MA, came to SVC. Even though it was hosted on a long weekend, one that many people went home for, there was still a very nice turn out. For those that aren’t natural artists, like myself, painting can seem like one of the hardest things. Although, the great thing about these paint n’ sips, and the awesome people from Progressive Palette, is that they do it step by step and remind you that everything can be redone. Which is a nice relief for someone like me who messes up a lot. Everyone’s paintings ended up looking beautiful and unique. Of course being their own version of the original.
Everyone seemed to have a great time, not only because of the painting but also because of the mocktails. You can’t have a paint n’ sip without something to sip. Morgaine Segura and Jose Ferreras made some really good mocktails, the cran-cider seemed to be the most popular. The event started at 8:30 and people were still working on their art at 10:30, but the time flew. It was a great way to meet new people, do something with your friends, and tap into your creative side.
