Love and Money Advice

Love and Money Advice

Ever had that burning question you wanted to be answered without fear of judgement?

Does love wear out with time? Can lovers grow apart? Is it possible to rekindle the flame?

This is a very common question amongst couples. They always worry if forever is truly “forever”.

Love’s fire, if it once goes out, is hard to kindle.

(German proverb)

However like a fire, great things don’t always have to die. Does love wear out? Yes, but only when no one is putting in work or if no effort is applied. But the real question here is can it be revived before it all goes “dark”?

Yes this is how you can help the relationship:

  • Get back into the swing of things
    • Maybe you grew tired of a routine or your partner did, nevertheless get that spark back.
    • Figure out what’s wrong and communicate ways it could be fixed.
    • Show that you are interested in the relationship and that it is important to you.
    • Bring a surprise to the table, build anticipation it will increase their eagerness Share ideas on how the relationship can be improved.
    • Open up if you are “closed” and “emotionless”
      • All of this will initiate communication and an exchange of ideas it will increase a possibility of a revival of the relationship.
  • Touch back up on why or what got you two together in the first place. Reflect on your:
    • First date
    • First kiss
    • First time meeting
    • First connection
    • First talk
    • First argument
    • Second date

No, and this is why:

Sometimes, couples do grow apart, and nothing said or done could change that

  • They might wake up and find out that they
    • Aren’t compatible anymore
    • It’s just not working out
    • Are on a different level
    • Can’t understand each other

But, it’s important to note that this is the end of something and that it’s not necessarily a bad thing. As a famous artist once stated:

“Change is one of the most difficult things that we face, but change is inevitable…

One reason we don’t like change is we get comfortable where we are…What worked five years ago may not work today. Every blessing is not supposed to be permanent. Every provision is not supposed to last forever…We should constantly evaluate our friendships. Who’s speaking into your life? Who are you depending on? Make sure they’re not dragging you down, limiting you from blossoming..Everybody is not supposed to be in our life forever. – Marcus Jamal Hopson

How could I save money on the cost of college?

A good way to save money on college is by filling out applications for grants and scholarships. Loans should be used only after you have maximized all efforts and can’t find anymore aid with your scholarships or grants.  A loan will save you money now, but not later, so always make sure to only use it when necessary. Another thing is if you do take out a loan and pay it off throughout the year, you can then claim the loan on your taxes.

Below is a list of different places to go for scholarships and grants as well as loans.

Grants

If you are unfamiliar with how a grant works look at this site
