Fruit Salad

Fruit+Salad

A fun poem regarding the variety of fruits that can be mixed together along with some advice on the “technique” in creating fruit salad. This poem is also a fun way to learn how to entertain friends and guests.

Fruit Salad

by Cierra Mincher

Strawberry, strawberry come with me

Let’s mix you with sugar and see how wonderful you could be.

Now let’s grab some cherries for a bite

Some sour in salad for delight.

Mango, cantaloupe, and watermelon too

Fresh fruit will make this taste brand new.

So add some blueberries if you wish

But be careful they don’t get squished!

Now what is missing from our fruit salad bowl?

Oh yes, a banana and some raspberries to nourish your soul!

Now mix it together and eat some now

But be sure not to chow it all down.

Slap a top on the bowl and put it in the fridge for saving

You never know, later you might have a craving.

Those are some things you can put in a salad of fruit,

At a party you’re the bomb and your friends go “woot, woot!”

Now if you want to learn more,

I’ll let you know next week.

Ambrosia is a little different

But don’t forget to take a peek!
