Have you met Bailey Bradbury?

Bailey Bradbury (Nursing, Class of 2019) is from Grants Pass, Oregon where she attended Grants Pass High School and graduated in 2013. Bradbury chose Southern Vermont College due to it being a small school; she believes it’s easier that way because of the one-on-one time you could get with your professors.

Bradbury runs Cross Country here at SVC, and in the past she has also played Soccer and Softball. She ran Cross Country in high school during her junior and senior years then stopped for three years. In high school she received The Caveman award, a sportsmanship certificate, for Cross Country.

When asked about her coach Kathleen Newton (Class of 2004), Bradbury’s response was, “I love my coach. She is kind of like a mom instead of a coach. She is one of the people I can go to for anything.”

Bradbury says her team is, “super-nice and inviting; we want each other to do better.”

This season, the women’s Cross Country team had worked extremely hard, getting farther than they have in the past years. They finished their conference in second place, a huge step up from their fourth place finish during the 2015 season.
