The Meadows Festival

A One of A Kind Experience

The+Meadows+Festival

The Meadows Festival was held in Queensbury, NY at Citi Field on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2. It was held by Founders Entertainment, who also put together the Governors Ball. Unlike most music festivals, The Meadows is held in an urban area which tends to eliminate some aspects of festivals, like camping. However, the urban area creates a different and new challenge, and doesn’t take away from the experience at all. As someone who is not from the city it was fun to figure out the subway system and learn of a city as historical as Queens.

The festival had headliners: Kanye West, J. Cole, Chance the Rapper, Kygo, The 1975, Bryson Tiller, Empire of the Sun, Grimes, and much more which you can find here. The festival had a mix of hip-hop, electronic, indie rock/pop, and rock. The Meadows had four stages and at least two artists playing at one time. There was also food vendors from all over the five boroughs of New York City. They had photo booths, airbrush painting, a Bud Light Beer-Garden, and a Viceland tour bus. It was difficult to be bored at this festival with all of the music, art, food, and activities offered.

Please enjoy some of the photos I had personally taken during the two-day event!
