Wrapping up The Shires Press Series

Wrapping+up+The+Shires+Press+Series

Last night, the authors of the Shires Press program and members of the surrounding community gathered at the Northshire Bookstore in Manchester, VT for this year’s book reading. Even friends and family of the authors came out to the reading, driving for hours just so they could attend! With all those who showed up from both near and far, there was a wonderful turnout for the event.

Along with having a great turnout, it was simply a night to remember. Filled with happiness, excitement, nervousness, pride, and even a few tears, it was a rather emotional night. That was especially seen in the exchange of gifts between Debbi, Daisy, and the authors. Debbi Wraga, who has been extremely vital to the completion of our books, had been brought to tears by the gift that Professor Daisy Levy bestowed to her on behalf of Benyamin, Tanisha, and I. Though, having seen what she had gifted us, I would have to say that we were equally as touched. It did not help that Debbi thanked us as she hugged us all one last time.

All in all, it was a wonderful night that was as memorable as it was emotional. I will surely never forget my time working in the Shires Press Series and all those who helped make it possible. Therefore, I would like to formally thank Debbi Wraga, Daisy Levy, and President Evans for allowing such a wonderful program to exist. It truly means to the world to not only me, but to all of us who have been given the chance to produce a original published work.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
