The Essentials of Essentials

The Essentials of Essentials

Hey you! Yeah you! Are you a college student? Are you tired of your college preventing you from making your room smell nice? Banned plug-in air fresheners? No fancy wax melters? And you can’t even burn that amazing scented candle? I completely understand your feelings. What if I told you there was a way to keep your college dorm room smelling nice without pressing the rules? I know right, you’re shocked! I’m not talking about those canned air fresheners or automatic sprays that are throwing chemicals all into the air you breathe either, I’m talking about an essential oil diffuser!

For $16.95 on Amazon I was able to buy an auto shut off, adjustable mist mode diffuser that has not 1, not 2, but 7 color changing LED lights! So not only could this diffuser bring some wonderful aromas to your college dorm room, but since you can’t have those string lights you also get a fun color changing diffuser. DOUBLE TROUBLE! Minus the trouble. Woah woah, don’t get so excited- just thank me by sharing this with your other college friends. And if you’re not in college…it’s still pretty great!

Now for only $14.95 on Amazon, I was also able to get 8 top essential oils. For those of you that don’t know, essential oils not only smell great but have a lot of beneficial properties to them. I was skeptical at first, but they ended up working really well. And ss for you impulse buyers out there, you could just go to your local Walmart for similar diffusers as well! No Walmart? Well…

THE ESSENTIAL OILS I BOUGHT:

Lavender- The essence of pure calmness and relaxation with a light, uplifting scent. This one is very good for when you’re ready for bed.

Peppermint- Invigorating aroma that will liven up the mind, body, and soul. I recommend this scent for when you want to start your day off strong, it’s great for giving yourself a pep in your step and some motivation!

Tea Tree – Antiseptic properties, invigorating and refreshing scent. An ‘at home’ kind of scent.

Eucalyptus – Naturally anti-inflammatory, great for sinus issues and has a very refreshing scent. A must have scent in my opinion because it’s very helpful for when you’re not feeling well.

Lemongrass – A great herb for inducing relaxation and balance for the mind. Could also help relieve muscle pain, can be used externally to kill bacteria, ward off insects, and reduce body aches.

Orange – Promotes positive attitudes and induces relaxation for a calm spirit. Very helpful for when you want to relax and be surrounded by some delicious citrus scents.

Frankincense – Aids in relaxation and sleep, rebalances the mind. It’s also a helpful scent to relieve stress and anxiety and can even reduce pain and inflammation.

Rosemary – Improves memory and helps with focus (I recommend for studying!) Also stimulates hair growth and regulates oily and dry skin.

OIL COMBINATIONS I RECOMMEND:

Lavender & Eucalyptus = Sleep & Sickness

Peppermint & Rosemary = Homework or Motivation

Tea Tree & Frankincense = Recovery

Orange & Tea Tree = Citrus/‘Homey’ Scents

Frankincense & Lavender  = Sleep & Recovery

Lemongrass & Frankincense = Balance
