As a part of Dean Quire’s section of Quest for Success, students are required to do a Community Change Project. Since it is the time for giving and helping out those who are less fortunate, my group is doing a non-perishable food drive. Not only will you be helping our group’s project to be a success, you’ll have a perfect way to give back to the Bennington Community! Donations will be given to a local food pantry in Bennington.

What’s our reason for choosing this project? Our QFS class focuses on leadership and all aspects that encompass it. We thought this would be the perfect way to step up as student leaders and be role models, to remind people to give back to the community and encourage them to help others. Since it is so close to the holidays and the cold weather is here to stay, food pantries often see shortages. With your support, we will be able to contribute to helping stock a food pantry so that those in need have food this holiday season. It was important to us to do something that would directly give back to the community; this project helps a lot of people and allows everyone to contribute and make an impact on the community.

As part of our project, we will be having prize baskets! For every three items you donate, your name will be entered to win. The more food you bring, the better your chances! Our non-perishable drive will be held outside the Mansion Gallery at 2 pm on Thursday, November 30th.
