NECC Women’s Volleyball Championship
SVC U Later Eastern Nazarene
The Southern Vermont College Women’s Volleyball team fought their way to the NECC Women’s Volleyball Championship game on Sunday, November 4, 2018, against Eastern Nazarene in Quincy, MA. It was a nail-biter, but the girls pulled out a 3-1 win against ENC, making their record 21-6. They won the first match 25-21, as well as the second match 25-23. ENC took the third match with a 25-14 win over SVC. The fourth and final match was intense as Southern Vermont had the lead of 19-10, until Eastern Nazarene caught up to them, making the score 23-22. ENC was able to tie the game and the teams went through 3 match points. Eventually, Southern Vermont College took the Championship title over Eastern Nazarene College. This is SVC’s fourth ever volleyball championship title. The girls worked hard all season for this, and the school couldn’t be more proud. A couple of our girls even made the NECC All-Tournament Team, as well as NECC MVP. (You can find the names listed below)
